This person plays a key role in the business’s vessel operations, facilitating the smooth shipments of cargo.
Responsibilities
Planning, coordinating and executing vessel operations, including loading, unloading and transshipment
Monitoring the sea and weather conditions to ensure safe shipping operations
Collaborating with the owners, managers and captains to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Maintaining timely and accurate updates with regards to vessel documentation
Managing and tracking performance of vessels
Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and health regulations
Qualifications
Degree in the maritime/offshore field or a related field of study
At least five years of experience as a tanker vessel operator
Great communication skills
Good knowledge of maritime regulations and best practices
