Our client are seeking a National Refurbishment Manager to join their Sydney team within the retirement living sector. As the National Refurbishment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the refurbishment of our existing retirement living properties across the country and play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of refurbishment projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The role will report directly to the Head of Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the financial performance and positive outcomes for residents through effective and efficient delivery of unit turnovers from vacancy to occupancy.
Work with the Real Estate and Asset Management Team to improve overall asset value.
Work proactively with other key business stakeholders, including property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance staff, to ensure the success of refurbishment projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and identify and resolve any issues.
Develop and implement refurbishment strategies to ensure our retirement living properties are modernized and meet our standards.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Prepare regular progress reports and provide updates to the Head of Asset Management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. construction management, architecture, engineering) or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience in refurbishment project management within the retirement living sector.
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and project management software.
