The Opportunity:

Our client is a global real estate investment manager with a successful track-record of generating long-term value for their clients across asset classes. Due to their size and capital, they invest heavily at an entity and fund level but have single asset investments also.  

Based in Sydney, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join their dynamic, fast-growing, and high-performing team. Working closely with the Director, managers, and key stakeholders you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, analysing real estate returns, and executing the company’s financial strategies in the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial statements, forecasting and budget variance analysis (NOI & CAPEX) for existing investments liaising effectively with Managers, Finance, and corporate teams.
  • Analyse financial information and resolutions for acquisition and disposition transactions.
  • Review financial data and provide insights to Partners to inform business decisions (Annual budgets, business plan, reporting requirements, new investments).
  • Review the firms funding requirement across existing and future investments.
  • Review debt financing proposal, draft debt approval memo and co-ordinate internal debt approval process.
  • Update financing dashboard and review compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with CPA accreditation.
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in accounting (real estate).
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Transactional accounting and consolidation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate transactions (Entity, fund and single asset level).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Real estate investment or big 4 accounting experience (preferred).
