Company

Our client is seeking a Commercial Facilities Manager to provide world class property management to key internal stakeholders and external service providers.  The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our premium A grade facilities, including the building structure, grounds, equipment, and utilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise facility maintenance staff, including scheduling and delegation of tasks.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of all equipment and facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building structure.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, as well as inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for the facilities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or trade equivalent
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian property standards, risk management, WH&S and sustainability initiatives
  • Minimum five years of experience in facility management of commercial properties
  • Exceptional time management /organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Environment Management
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Highly developed negotiation skills
  • Highly developed influencing and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in the management of external service providers.
  • Experience in the management and administration of contracts.
