Job description

As the Director for ESG across Asia Pacific, you will lead the development of sustainability as the firm's competitive advantage in their operations. You will be the environmental and social champion, leading best-in-class practices across the regional real estate portfolio. You will be able to ensure that the innovative solutions for sustainability are identified and applied in the on-going business process across the region.
  
The major function of this role is to engage the entire business in market leading environmentally and sustainability conscious decision making.
  
Responsibilities:  
  • Evaluate environmental technology and sustainability practices adopted by the firm and initiate appropriate changes;
  • Build the sustainability capability of the design and operations teams to win business opportunities;
  • Work closely with the tendering, design and operations teams to create environmental friendly and cost effective solutions;
  • Work closely with public sector, clients and consultants to promote innovative ideas in sustainability and the reputation and expertise of the firm in the field; 
  • Follow through with the project management team to monitor the practicality of the proposed technology or practices during the construction stage and advise alternatives where necessary;
  • Liaise with vendors of energy resources to ensure proposed technology can be applied and manage budget;
  • Provide through the team support to projects to assist and ensure compliance with all environmental legal requirements and accepted good practices;
  • Regularly review update and maintain the firm's EMS in compliance with ISO Registration, legal and statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Environmental studies or equivalent disciplines;
  • Engineering experience with Energy experience developing or supporting performance based projects and/or energy services;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong public speaking skills desired;
  • At least 12 years' working in construction related sustainability roles;
  • Proven track records in leading innovations which result in significant business benefits
  • Able to facilitate solution-building through collaborations;
  • Ability to influence top management in a multi-cultural environment and work effectively with operations teams of different disciplines.
