Company Background:
  
Our client is a Global real estate investment group seeking a dynamic and ambitious Junior Project Manager / Project Manager or Contracts Administrator to help across the whole development lifecycle including transactions responsibility, but initially leveraging your exposure in the construction/delivery phase.  This fund management driven group currently holds development in Retail, Commercial and Childcare Projects.  The role will report to the Head of Development and will have full exposure to:
  
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the development team in the origination and technical due diligence analysis of acquisitions;
  • Project manage a small portfolio of assigned projects through approvals, design, and construction hitting time and cost milestones;
  • Project reporting;
  • Consistently deliver analyses of project portfolio at its various stages to streamline cost and efficiencies;
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets;
  • Direct and manage the project development delivery team responsible for the construction of projects, including the coordination of consultants, head contractor, etc;
  • Establish and manage budgets and cash flows accurately for projects under management;
  • Negotiating or assisting with in relation to commercial agreements with contractors and consultants;
  • Value management of aspects and stages of the projects under management;
  • Respond and align with legal, compliance and in-house policy responsibilities;
  • Carry out other ad-hoc tasks and duties as required to personally upskill as well as assist the wider team.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in a development or project management/ construction phase role, within the built environment
  • Logical thinker who can display autonomous traits but also work as a team;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management;
  • The ability to balance and/or prioritise tasks;
  • A decent understanding of the procurement, planning, and tendering processes;
  • Conflict resolution experience in project and people;
  • A base understanding of planning systems and development approvals;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound report writing and presentation skills – technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
