Aurex Group has appointed Cameron Hawkins as Director of Infrastructure to lead the recruitment practice in the sector across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Based in the Brisbane office, Cameron will bring his established expertise in delivering dedicated recruitment to infrastructure projects throughout multiple states. Leading talent resourcing on major projects, Cameron is experienced in guiding clients and candidates across transport infrastructure, power and energy, oil and gas, and mining infrastructure.

Cameron has spent more than a decade working across the entire infrastructure project lifecycle throughout numerous sectors. He is experienced within external agencies and internal recruitment, previously working for Australia’s Tier 1 construction companies including John Holland, Obrascon Haurte Lain (OHL), and Laing O’Rourke.

With in-depth knowledge of the resourcing challenges faced by today’s major infrastructure projects, Cameron has supported some of the country’s largest and most challenging projects. Understanding project vulnerabilities and being able to provide end-to-end turnkey solutions has contributed to his respected reputation in the industry.

Cameron brings to the table a unique expertise in managing project resourcing, which has resulted in the successful execution of several noteworthy projects. Among these are the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 (GCLR), Melbourne Metro, Inland Rails – Narrabri to North Star (N2NS), Department of Transport and Main Road’s Edmonstone to Gordon Vale (DTMR) (E2G), Kidston Pumped Hydro, and Woolgoolga to Ballina Stage 1 for Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW).
