They must be excellent communicators as they are the employees and business direct point of contact for anything to do with planning and meeting HR requirements.<\/p>\n<p>During the Pandemic, a HRBP needs to roll out the business continuity plan (BCP) and have both the mental capacity and time to understand what\u2019s happening in the business. They play a vital role in meeting the needs of organizations during times of crisis.<\/p>\n<h6>\u200b<\/h6>\n<h3>Talent Acquisition and Development<\/h3>\n<p>Talent acquisition is a long-term recruitment strategy to identify, assess and hire the best fit for the company\u2019s business needs. Talent development is designed to motivate, grow, and retain members of the organization especially amidst the talent war we face globally.<\/p>\n<p>Putting the right talent in the right roles at the right time is one of the differentiators that keep BlackRock out in front. Its talent management policies and practices are guided by its global Human Capital Committee (HCC), composed of 35 senior line leaders from across the firm\u2019s businesses and key locations.<\/p>\n<p>As Donnell Green, BlackRock\u2019s global head of talent management, puts it, \u201cThe HCC and BlackRock\u2019s Global Executive Committee are not afraid to address head-on some of the stickier issues of culture change and culture formation, including breaking down silo behaviour and driving harder to create a stronger high-performance culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<h6>\u200b<\/h6>\n<h3>Diversity, Equity and Inclusion<\/h3>\n<p>Diversity, equity and inclusion is a term used to describe policies and programs that promote the representation and participation of different groups of individuals. DEI encompasses people of different ages, races, ethnicities, abilities, disabilities, genders, religions, cultures, and sexual orientations. It also covers people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, skills and expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Today, DE&amp;I is HR\u2019s top priority to improve and sustain the DEI equation in a hybrid workplace and foster a culture inside an organization. In practice, however, there is still a long way to go. The Global Real Estate DEI survey conducted in 2021 showed that in Europe, 43% of commercial real estate firms had professionals dedicated solely to DEI, while in Asia-Pacific the figure was 33%. In both Asia-Pacific and Europe, around 44% of firms utilised DEI committees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraditionally this has been a very white middle class male-dominated industry,\u201d says Joanna Turner, head of property research at Canada Life Asset Management. \u201cI\u2019ve seen that start to change over the last five to 10 years. It\u2019s improving slowly, but we could do a lot better.\u201d<\/p>\n<h6>\u200b<\/h6>\n<h3>Future of HR<\/h3>\n<p>The real estate industry continues to grapple with skills shortages and employee retention in today\u2019s highly competitive market and in the future. As the business ecosystem globally adapts to the transformation and change, organizations continue to build their HR teams to enable a better workforce.<\/p>\n<p>The field of HR is always changing. With more advanced technologies used and new trends.
